Sarah was born in Germany and raised in Swedish Lapland with dog sledding. She has always loved winter and wild alpine landscapes. She’s spent the last ten years exploring Norway, and since 2024, she’s called a sailboat her full-time home.

A mountain goat at heart, Sarah loves trail running, randonnée skiing and paragliding, but also surfing and kitesurfing.

Three years ago, she partly turned into a pirate to follow her dream of long-distance sailing. Today, she’s training to become a skipper and working as SeilNorge’s Crew Coordinator, making sure the crew is ready for every adventure. She also enjoys getting her hands dirty with boat maintenance!

Matilde is our Marketing Coordinator and outdoor enthusiast! Before joining SeilNorge, she worked with social media for major sporting events and as Event Manager for Freeski at the Norwegian Ski Federation.

Always up for an adventure, Matilde loves spending time outdoors. At SeilNorge, she gets to combine her passion for adventure with her experience in marketing, sharing stories and experiences from our sailing trips.

Emil, the founder & Captain of SeilNorge. Emil grew up on a boat at sea, among the rocky shores of Tjøme, South of Norway, and in the beautiful summer light of Helgeland. Emil works hard at the office so he can spend most of his days where he enjoys it the most: on the Helgeland coast with a fleet of sailboats brimming with adventurous expedition participants! He brought the joy of demanding navigation through islets and reefs from the Navy, and as a skipper, he’s known for giving the crew plenty of challenges and responsibilities. Emil’s grandfather spent 55 seasons in Lofoten as a fisherman, and Emil is working on matching that record!

Hailing from France, Marie-Lou comes to us with a background in tourism and a genuine love for creating memorable travel experiences.

At SeilNorge, Marie-Lou works with sales, where she uses her expertise and enthusiasm to guide you toward the right adventure — whether you’re dreaming of sailing under the midnight sun, chasing northern lights, or exploring Norway’s wild fjords by sea. Meet Regine — our energetic booking navigator at SeilNorge! An avid outdoor lover, she’s out exploring every weekend and knows the Norwegian coast like the back of her hand.

Regine has already joined many SeilNorge sailing trips, so she can help you find — and navigate — the perfect adventure. Structured, helpful, and indispensable in the office, she’s here to make your booking smooth and your adventure even better!

What started as a brief backpacking adventure to Norway and a break from veterinary studies turned into falling in love with sailing and SeilNorge! She lends a hand on the boats wherever and whenever needed. Giselle enjoys creating unforgettable shared memories, exploring together, getting to know one another, and learning from each other. And that’s precisely what we do on SeilNorge trips! Let’s make some waves and memories together!

Anette is crunching numbers and taming spreadsheets with finesse. When she’s not diving deep into her Excel sheets, you’ll find her living the van life on the rugged shores of Stadt, riding the waves and surfing her heart out. She’s our financial wizard by day and a surf-obsessed camper by night!

Meet Mari, the regatta sailor who’s head over heels in love with cruising in the North of Norway! Mari joined the SeilNorge crew after being a guest on one of their trips in 2016, but her sailing journey began when she was just 8 years old. Back then, it was all about dinghy racing. Thanks to SeilNorge, she discovered the joy of leisurely sailing in the beautiful north, and now she’s an integral part of the team. Her extensive experience in the racing community, which she’s still very much a part of, influences the trips she’s on today. It’s always a blast to sail a little faster than the others, and she’s more than happy to share her knowledge and skills with fellow sailors. Smooth sailing and high spirits are always on the horizon when Mari’s around!

Anne is the Marketing Skipper at SeilNorge. She is a lively girl who comes from the mountains, without a single drop of saltwater – not even sailboats! Despite the lack of sea access, she spent several years working on board Hurtigruten, a Norwegian cruise line, and she has been promoting boat-related adventures for years. She loves everything about communication and the lively and bustling everyday life at SeilNorge.

Knut is the ultimate multitasker! He tries to keep track of all our boats, guests, bookings, crew, technical stuff and whatever might show up on our way. Eager sailor on his own boats and constantly looking for something to adjust and improve.

Tina used to be our marketing mackerel, but she missed the sea too much! Now she works year-round at the Port of Oslo, while continuing to sail as one of our skippers. She even won the very first regatta she entered, during our festival sailing to Træna! When she’s not sailing, you’ll probably find her surfing the waves or dreaming of sailing around the world in her own boat.
